The famous editorial that appeared in The New York Sun in 1897, written in response to a skeptical little letter from 8-year-old Virginia O’Hanlon, still holds true today. We just have more tech savvy ways in 2010 to reassure the children “affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age” that “Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus.” Continue to borrow the editor’s elegant words and tell your little skeptics that Santa “exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist.” But this year, try having some tech fun with Santa.
